I like the shorter 24 inch VSL which tunes nicely to Gdd. When I sing I like to play chord accompaniment and take a lead break once in a while in fingerdance style. I make the fretboard around 1-1/4 to 1-5/16 inches wide. I can also make it as a 4 string equal distance tuned dddd for those that want to play Galax style or Dddd for those that like bagpipe tuning.
This one had a little boo-boo as I put a fret in the wrong place so I had a customer that wanted it anyway but with the 6+ fret and the wrongly placed 14+ fret so I pulled them for him.
