The Buchanan

This is the first Buchanan. Future versions will have some slight changes but they will be subtle.
The Buchanan has a nice, rich tone to it. Kinda bassy. The violin fine tuners make it a snap to tune. I'm very satisfied how this first one turned out.

The Piglet

Say hello to the Piglet.....
The Piglet has a 20.7 inch vsl and is around 31 inches in length.
Standard tuning for the piglet is Aee.
This Piglet has a buckeye soundboard. Red maple back and sides. Red maple/birdseye maple peghead and tailpiece, and birdseye maple fretboard.

A Sow for me!

Just finished this Sow Hogfiddle for myself.
It's made with a hemlock soundboard.
Birdseye maple sides and back.
And Persimmon fretboard, tailpiece and peghead.
All dyed with vinegar stain.

A Black Walnut Shoat

The Shoat Hogfiddle.
The Shoat Hogfiddle is a 22.75 inch vsl dulcimer. The one pictured is a 4 string but future Shoats will be 3 string only. But I do have another 4 string Hogfiddle in the works.

The Cumberland

Meet the Cumberland.
The Cumberland is a cousin to the Little Lynzie Ann travel dulcimer.
The Cumberland is named after the Cumberland mountain region of the Appalachian mountains where I live.
The Cumberland is set up for noter/drone or fingerdance style playing only.
I make two versions. One has a longer peghead and the other has a short.
They have a 19.5 inch vsl.
1 inch wide by 1 inch tall fretboard. The narrow width allows for faster, smoother strumming of those fast fiddle tunes. And the height gives you plenty of room to run the fretboard with your noter and not drag your knuckles on the soundboard.
The long version measures approximately 27 inches long and 3.5 inches wide.
The short version measures approximately 24.5 inches long and 3.5 inches wide.
